Dr. Richard B. Dasher of Stanford University elected to ZyCube board of
directors
ZyCube shareholders have elected Richard B. Dasher to the Board of Directors
as an outside director of ZyCube.
Dr. Dasher, 50, has been with the US-Asia Technology Management Center
at Stanford University since 1993, becoming USATMC Acting Director in 1994
and Director in 1996. He has additionally served as Executive Director
of Center for Integrated Systems at Stanford University since 1998. Dr.
Dasher is a leading expert in cradling venture businesses originated from
universities in Silicon Valley and in cooperation between industry and
academia.
From April 2004, Dr. Dasher served a one-year term on the board of Directors
of Tohoku University, and he contiunes as a Special Advisor to the Tohoku
University president and member of its Management Council.
ZyCube will promote strategic cooperation between industry and academia
and cradling wenture businesses in U.S. and Japan through utilizing the
expertise and knowledge of Dr. Dasher in nurturing venture companies in
planning and management of ZyCube's business placing the advanced three
dimensional LSI technology as the core of its operation.
"Although Japanese venture companies originated from university have
high level technologies, they are lacking a managing capability and also
a scope on worldwide market. Especially in the field of semiconductor technology,
a strategic sense of management bringing the world market into view is
required. ZyCube possesses an innovative technology and a great target
aiming at advancing to the world market. I would like to contribute to
commercialization of three dimensional LSI as a successful example of venture
company originated from Japanese university through making consultation
with my expertise on management of technical business that I have aquired
in Silicon Valley." said Dr. Dasher.
Based in the U.S., Dr. Dasher will serve as an advisor on management and
marketing of ZyCube's operation and make relations with investors, customers
and business partners, while serving in the governance of the corporation.
